Oil seed rape (Brassica napus) growing in a field. This plant is grown widely in Europe for the edible oil which is extracted from its seeds. It is also grown as fodder for livestock. Fields of the plant appear brilliant yellow during the flowering season in summer. As well as being used in cooking the oil can be used both as a fuel and as a lubricant.
