Glacial lake, Iceland. Panoramic image of Jokulsarlon, a glacier lagoon in south-eastern Iceland, taken in the morning. Jokulsarlon ice lagoon and icebergs have been formed from meltwater and ice from the large Vatnajokull Glacier. The lagoon formed during the 1930s as the glacier started to melt and retreat inland from the coast. The lagoon outlet flows into the nearby sea. The lagoon is a major tourist attraction. Photographed in May 2007.
