MODEL RELEASED. Examination of a premature (neonatal) infant's eyes for an abnormality called retinopathy of prematurity, using indirect ophthalmoscopy. The hand-held lens is used in conjunction with the ophthalmoscope, which is incorporated into a head- set. The incidence of retinopathy of prematurity has increased as a consequence of the increasing survival rates of premature babies.
