The trainer on the left is a ClimaCool trainer from Adidas, first sold in 2002. The ClimaCool system provides ventilation through all surfaces of the trainer, helping to keep the athlete's foot cool. The ventilation is seen on the side and top of the trainer where heat (red) is escaping.
