Shuttle-Mir astronauts. Portrait of the astronauts from space shuttle mission STS-89 with the cosmonauts from Mir-24 on board Mir, the Russian space station. Mission STS-89 lasted from 22-31 January 1998 using space shuttle Endeavour. The astronauts and cosmonauts are, anti-clockwise from lower left: David A. Wolf, Pavel V. Vinogradov, Terrence W. Wilcutt, Anatoly Y. Solovyev, Bonnie J. Dunbar, Michael P. Anderson, Andrew S. W. Thomas (both up the right side), Joe F. Edwards Jr., James F. Reilly and Salizan S. Sharipov. During the mission, Wolf was replaced as guest astronaut on Mir by Thomas. This was the eighth link between a shuttle and Mir.
