Reportage in the Aigues-Vertes village in Switzerland, whose inhabitants all suffer from mental handicap. The Aigues-Vertes Foundation was founded in 1961 and is an institution whose aim to to help with the social and economic integration of people suffering from mental disability. It offers a place to live in the shape of a village with 20 buildings spread over a 21.5-hectare site, and can house 120 villagers. They all work in the village according to their own capabilities and at their own pace. Rebecca is 28 and has lived and worked in Aigues-Vertes for 7 years. She works in the textile studio and in the village shop where all the objects that are made by the villagers are sold. She also helps sort out the villagersˇ socks. Her favourite pastime is making necklaces.
