Tim Peake's spacewalk. European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut Timothy Peake (born 1972) carrying out a spacewalk outside the International Space Station (ISS) on 15 January 2016. Peake and NASA astronaut Tim Kopra worked to successfully replace a failed voltage regulator in the station's power generation system. The pair ended their space walk early after Kopra reported a small water bubble had formed inside his helmet. Peake, part of the Expedition 46 crew to the ISS, was the first British citizen to fly in space as an ESA astronaut.
