Costume of Granville. The women of Granville dress in very fine fabrics; but never wear lace in their bonnets. This woman's bonnet tails are in folded chiffon. Her hair at the front is arranged in a headband. Hand-colored fashion plate illustration by Lante engraved by Gatine from Louis-Marie Lante's 鈥楥ostumes des femmes du Pays de Caux;' 1827/1885. With their tall Alsation lace hats; the women of Caux and Normandy were famous for the elegance and style.
