Han Kan Tang painter 618-906 Han-Kan lived in Chang-an, the capital of the Tang dynasty (618 -907). He painted Buddhist and Taoist wall paintings but became mostly famous for his great compositions of horse paintings which represented the knightly spirit of his time. He is considered one of the greatest classical Chinese master artists of animal painting.
