The Carpet which is known in Persia as the Gallery of the Great Ones , is by a famous Persian Artist , Ali Ibn Jafar . Made by hand and containing 10 , 000 , 000 stitches the design goes right through front to back , so that if walked on for a century , the figures would remain distinct as they are . In the centre panel is the figure of Christ , on the right of our lord is Moses reading the tablet of the law , King Herod and a Centurion are als seen . 19 March 1921
