Lord Ebury , who is only 19 years of age , was married at Kensington registry office to Miss Anne Acland - Troyte , the 21 year old niece of Lieutenant Colonel C J Acland - Troyte , MP for Tiverton . A crowd had waited outside the register office in expectation of the young couple ' s arrival but drifted away . The bride and bridegroom then went in unseen . When they were photographed just before their secret marriage , Lord Ebury and his fiancee declared that they would not be married for weeks .
