Inquest on girl found dead in New Forest pond. Brother who discovered by the attends. The inquest on Sheila Sutherland, a 17-year-old girl who was found dead in a desolate pond in the heart of the New Forest, opened at Lymington, Hampshire. Dr H H Gleave, the pathologist, said there was a wound on the girls head. She had been rendered unconscious and put in the pool. A 21-year-old labourer, George Smith, employed by the girl's father, has been arrested and charged with the murder.
