Road drill that is practically noiseless. Engine and drill combined. A revolutionary compact type of road drill, which is practically noiseless is being used in a road reconstruction scheme on the Muswell Hill, London. The drill is driven by small two-stroke motorcycle engine mounted on the frame. This design obviates the customary join compressor and need tangled airlines familiar to the pneumatic drill. Added to this, it is much easier for the operator to handle as vibration is negligible. It is cheap to run, costing only 15 shillings a day for petrol and oil. 3 December 1937
