Schoolboys Outside Prison for Podola Hanging About twenty schoolboys on their way to school stop outside Wandsworth Prison this morning with a crowd of about 100 people, less than an hour before German-born photographer Gunther Podola was due to be hanged for the murder of a policeman. As schooltime approached, a policeman moved the boys on. Two students patrolled outside the prison with placards reading "thou shalt not kill" and "Murder is wrong. Hanging is State Murder". 5th November 1959
