Mr Herbert Morrison Lord President of the Council is attending the inauguration at Charing Cross Station of the new double decker train service - the two deck trains are designed to beat the congestion on the lines to Dartford. Each eight coach train carries 1,016 passengers - an increase of 176 - ventilation on the upper deck is supplied by fans and the lower deck the windows open. November 1st 1949
