The first of four torpedo boats of new type which Thorneycroft's are building for the Siamese Government is undergoing speed trials on the Thames - the new vessels will attain a speed of 55 to 66mph - powered with 900hp motors the boats are designed to carry torpedoes and machine guns and depth charges and smoke screen apparatus - photo shows the first of the torpedo boats at high speed January 11th 1935
