The new Geological Survey and Museum - the most wonderful institute of its kind in the world - which has removed from Jermyn Street to new premises in South Kensington - will be ready for opening in July - in this museum which houses 600,000 exhibits the life of Britain can be traced back for 150 million years - the bygone ages are pictured in wonderful dioramas artistically beautiful and scientifically exact - one of them shows the First Man in the Thames Valley ( a shaggy haired figure with long ape-like limbs which roamed Great Britain over a million years ago ) pictured among the prehistoric beasts of that era - the building which cost ?0,000 was the meeting place of the Economic Conference of 1935 - photo shows a view of the Hall of the Geological Museum in South Kensington - this was the Conference Hall of the Economic Conference in 1933 January 17th 1935
