Elizabeth Taylor silently under the watchful eye of the Police enters the stagedoor of the Oxford Playhouse , to play a non speaking part of Helen of Troy in Christopher Marlowe's tragedy Doctor Faustus . Her husband Richard Burton played the leading part . Both stars have given their services for free for the one week run of this play , the proceeds of which are in aid of the Oxford University Dramatic Society . 15 February 1966
