Rival Presidents of "The Association for the Abolition of Austerity" and Baggy Scientists Inc., Differing on a matter of principle, settled in the old-fashioned honourable manner of a duel from boats on the Thames. The antagonists wore Victorian bathing costumes and top hats for the occasion and special fanfares were written by Mr E.J. Moeran. Intervention by the river police left the battle undecided.
