Energy efficient exterior wall has layers of styrofoam/concrete/styrofoam with green diamonds to anchor the styrofoam to the concrete. The Southface Education Center will demonstrate energy efficient technologies for buildings and be a permanent legacy to the Atlanta community. The building will be used to teach architects, engineers, and students and help train local building construction workers in the installation of energy efficient building materials and renewable energy products.
