This groundwater flatworm is in the genus Sphalloplana. Flatworms can be important members of the groundwater community. Many groundwater flatworms have lost their eyes and pigmentation, a condition known as troglomorphy. This individual was photographed in Big Mouth Cave, Tennessee in 2008.
