The neoplastic cells of nodular lymphocyte-predominant Hodgkin lymphoma are called LP cells - which stands for lymphocyte-predominant cells. Several LP cells with complex, multilobulated nuclei are seen in this image in a background of small lymphocytes. Given the shape of their nucleus, they have also been referred to as popcorn cells. They have one or more basophilic nucleoli and scant cytoplasm.
