The Silent Watches Of Our Coast -- A typical English Coast guard, doing a job of work that so vital to our success. Quiet unassuming and efficient, no heralds blaze his wartime job. A body of men whose job is so vital to our war effort, upon whom so much depends - are the men of H.M. Coast Guard Service patrolling the shores of England. Their vigilance calls out the lifeboats to ships in distress, helps save the crews, and log positions of our airmen who bale out into the "Drink", thereby helping the Sea Rescue Service to pick them up in quick time, and many other jobs far too numerous to mention, and don't forget they spot foreign aircraft.
