HISTORY OF PHOTOGRAPHY Portrait of Clemens Seeber (16 December 1851 - 17 July 1905); pioneer of German photography and cinema; with his itinerant Atelier set up on an original tricycle with which he was one of the first in Germany to work as a photojournalist. The advertising plaque reads "Photogr. Atelier; Clemens Seeber; Chemnitz; Theaterstrasse 22". In the years between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries; Chemnitz was one of the richest cities in Saxony; with thriving industries producing cycles and automobiles.
