Gliese 677 is a triple star system in Scorpius, some 22 light-years from Earth. The two central stars, 677A and 677B, orbit each other with a separation of around 12 astronomical units. Meanwhile, a third star, 677C, orbits this central pair much further out, around 230 AU away. Gliese 677C has two confirmed exoplanets in orbit around it, and several others have been claimed.
