I traveled to Sravanabelagola, a town in Karnataka where the star attraction was a 58-feet tall monolithic statue of Bahubali. Home to Jain heritage for over 2000 years, the calm countenance of Bahubali amidst the ageing grand courtyard of the temple offered a dramatic backdrop to a group of children playing with gay abandon. I caught a candid view of this sacred pilgrimage site with a picture of contrasts, the old and the young, the calm and the playful, the sky and solid temple architecture.
