Burrhus Frederic Skinner (1904-1990). American psychologist. Skinner developed a psychology that concentrates on the variables and forces in the environment that influences the personality of a person (stimulus-response behavior). In addition to establishing a reputation as a major experimental psychologist, Skinner also gained recognition for his influential book, Walden II, which details a utopian society based on psychological principles.
