Light micrograph of the spleen in a case of Banti syndrome. Banti syndrome is a chronic congestive enlargement of the spleen (splenomegaly) resulting in destruction of red blood cells by the spleen. There are no microscopic signs specific of Banti disease. The venous sinuses may be dilated. here the white pulp shows some atrophy and fibrosis.
