Aerial view of Silbury Hill and surrounding moat in Wiltshire, UK. This is the tallest prehistoric man-made earth mound in Europe. It is part of the Avebury World Heritage site. Composed mainly of chalk from the local area, Silbury Hill stands at a height of 40 metres. Carbon dating suggests that it was built around 4,600 years ago though for what purpose remains a mystery.
