The telescopic forklift is one of Concordias key vehicles. It is permanently at Concordia, and is used only in summer, like all vehicles equipped with tracks or tires made of materials other than metal. It spends the winter stored under cover in a building. Among other things, it enables freight to be distributed directly to the right floor of the two towers, thanks to their large external doors. This is used in particular for foodstuffs refrigerated to +4¢XC. Concordia Antarctic Research Station, Dome C plateau, East Antarctica.
