
Solar Orbiter image of the full disc of the Sun. The Suns million-degree hot atmosphere known as the corona is captured in ultraviolet light. The image reveals glowing coronal loops surrounding active regions, along with darker, cooler filaments and prominences. Image data obtained by the Extreme Ultraviolet Imager (EUI) instrument aboard the Solar Orbiter spacecraft at around 77 million kilometres from the Sun on 9 March 2025.
