Pensioners Keep Walking -- For the children four pensioners, average age 70, have their shoes examined in the laboratories of a shoe manufacturing firm at Street, Somerset, after walking some 3,000 miles - to help the rising generation. Their shoes have been soled with a new materials which, when thoroughly tested and passed as satisfactory, will be use for children's footwear. Pensioners are invaluable for this testing work because they like the gentle relaxation of walking.
