Man watching the great aurora display of 10/11 May 2024, when the Kp Index reached 8 this night and auroras were seen in the southern United States. The field of view reaches up to the zenith to show the rays converging at the magnetic zenith. The aurora shows the usual oxygen greens but also red from high-altitude oxygen, and blues from sunlight perhaps lighting the upper curtains and/or nitrogen. The bright star at upper left is Arcturus. Photographed in southern Alberta, Canada.
