Red-eyed tree frog (Agalychnis callidrias) clinging to a twig. This tree frog is endemic to the rainforests and humid lowlands across southern Mexico and Central America. These frogs are insectivores, eating moths, crickets, flies, and other small insects. They have a bright green body, blue and yellow stripes on the side, orange coloured feet, and characteristic bright red eyes. Red-eyed tree frogs are also adept climbers, with cup-like footpads that enable them to spend their days clinging to leaves in the rainforest. Photographed in Costa Rica.
