Ekainberri museum housing the replica of the prehistoric Ekain cave paintings, Zestoa, Guipuzcoa, Basque Country, Spain. The Ekain Cave (in Basque: Ekaingo leizea or Ekaingo koba) is a cavern located in the Guipuzcoa municipality of Deva (Spain), discovered in 1969, and which houses several sets of cave paintings dating from the Magdalenian period (Upper Palaeolithic). The importance of these paintings means that the cave is considered one of the main European prehistoric sanctuaries along with Lascaux, Niaux and Altamira.
