Wooden remains of the Helvetia shipwreck located on Rhossili Beach in Gower, Wales, UK. The Helvetia, a Norwegian barque, sank in Rhossili Bay on November 1, 1887, due to a combination of bad weather and a change in wind direction. The ship was en route to Swansea carrying timber when it was caught in a gale and blown off course.
