Pieter Cnoll/Pieter Knoll (-1672) was a wealthy senior merchant representing the Dutch East India Company (VOC) as Director General in Batavia (now Jakarta), a major port and Dutch trade centre in the 17th century. Cnoll was married to a Eurasian woman, Cornelia van Nijenroode, who was the daughter of a Japanese woman and Cornelis van Nieuwroode, a VOC governor in Japan.
