Workers are risking their lives to wash cement bags in the water of Surma river. Plastic dust is filling the river water and riverbed which is poisoning the river and damaging the environment by disrupting the natural breeding of fish. Exposure to high levels of cement dust irritates nose, create allergy. This is their livelihood, and these workers are not aware of the health issues due to lack of knowledge that long term exposure of Cement dust could lead to occupational asthma. Sylhet, Bangladesh.
